I am thinking of getting my first small tat in 2008. Anyone have any suggestions of who to go to in SF? I heard that Body Manipulations is good. Tex, I believe, is the artist. Any feedback? Suggestions?
Yeah, sort of. But if I have a list of recommdations, then I can visit the studios, interview artist and see some of their works. And also possibly see the work on the person themselves.
In doing a little general purpose research on tattoos, I discovered that some artists have been known to mix their own ink. Other artists purchase readymade ink, and I think the latter might be a bit better.
The other thing I was surprised to learn is that the ink contained metallic salts. So, if you have a problem with certain metals, you might have a problem with certain colors.
