Bathhouses

1. I never really cared for them. Yrs ago, there was one in East Palo Alto, the BCC(?) or BBC(?). I never went. I instead frequented Ringold Alley (before Dore was popular). I guess I am partial to the outdoors :)
2. I usually felt more comfortable at the cleaner ones, such as the Water Garden, with nice pools, great patio for sunning etc
3. Never been to the Steamworks. Although, a quite notable SF Drag Queen keeps asking me to go with him.... uh....maybe...
4. The last bathhouse I was at was the Slammer in LA. About 6 yrs ago. It was really dirty. I did not stay too long. Since I was staying at the San Vincente Inn, they have their own kinda thing. Open to public on Fridays, and men are all over in the pool, bushes, saunas. The great outdoors!
5. Dusty, moderator of smutday posts different themes, Fetishes of the week, kink, bondage, Master/Slave, history, anything you can imagine. Her ability to find photos of the many subjects are incredible. Dusty and loves_gay_sex recently posted stuff on Gay Bathhouses. Rules of the Bathhouse. Interesting and amusing. Also some great photos from the 50's, 70's to present which are pretty hot.

Loved the video.
I've only been to one bathhouse and I was probably more scared than the straight guy. Of course being 21 at the time and I've wanted to go since I've been in the Bay area, but I'm not comfortable doing it alone. After all I am introverted and it takes some time to come out of the shell. For now I'll stick with my playmate in San Jose and forego the sex clubs.
