The weekend and week so far

1. Friday night was the usual out with friends, and visiting rockyotter

2. Much of the weekend was consumed by Leather Walk, which actually went pretty well!

3. Many from Mama's family helped me blow up balloons (200+ balloons!), that were to be released in the air after speeches, and in memory of those that have died of AIDS. I always find that the most moving part of the ceremony. And then begins Leather Week.

4. Don't know who was impatient, but the Leather Flag was raised before any of the speeches were begun! Oh well, it was nice ceremony. I am guessing over 300 walked (seems to be less every year!)

5. The walk was much the same route, down market then to 11th street, to first stop at the Powerhouse, for some speeches and libation. Then next door to Hole in the Wall. Then KOK bar. And to finally end up at the Lone Star.

6. The weather was very warm. Almost 90 degrees. But with a steady breeze, and a bit of shade, all was pretty easy. And this time I did not get sun burned! Thank you for remembering to put on the SPF 50 lotion!

7. Although, the total tally is not in yet, that day at the end of the day, we raised approximately $6,000. Last year, I think the tally was $21,000.

8. Sign of the times I guess. But at least this is something to help those with AIDS and breast cancer that are in financial need.

9. Work busy. One of the residents, that just moved in has not paid rent. Looks like corporate is to evict. She sees me and says will drop off check. She lied. She is so skinny and hyper, bet it's Meth.

10. We have some sort of trade show in Campbell this afternoon. I don't really have time for this, but have to go. :(
