I'm considering on maybe getting a cat

cellboy1. For the past few years our property has been occupied, or should I say the bushes, and under cars, by feral cats.
2. Although most are gone recently, due to this crazy woman, that was at the property daily to catch them, take them to her home, put them in her garage, then try to acclimate them to living near humans (I think she's a pet hoarder). The older cats she had neutered or spayed, and returned them to the property.
3. What had be thinking was looking at the adorable wild kittens. They are so cute. And some friends of mine have cats, which are really quite lovable
4. During my lifetime, I had one cat. But had 9 dogs. I prefer dogs, but they are a lot of work. Especially since I live in an apartment.
5. And if I'm away who will walk the dog?
6. If I'm away, a cat would be easier to handle. Although litter boxes I'm not crazy about. I wonder if I could train the cat to go out on the balcony, and use a litter box? Or would it leap off (I'm 4 floors up!)
7. Unlike my turtle, who can go without eating for weeks, a cat (or dog) is a new responsibility that I can't take lightly.
7. So I must consider the pros and the cons seriously.
If purchase or adopt one from the Pet Store or Humane Society, can I also order this gentleman to go with it?
