The Weekend, and week so far. A too late in the week of a post!/Parties/HIV testing/Drag
Busy and really not in the mood or feeling too great to post I am finally getting to it!
1. Last Friday was a too late out as usual with the Boys. Jim was off work late, did not arrive to my place till 8 pm (which gave me time to eat a normal dinner). So we made to 440 by 9 pm
2. Saturday was a busy gym day, HIV test day, errand day, and Christmas parties day
3. The first stop was my 3:00pm appointment at MagnetSF, for my annual, end of the year STD, HIV testing. Usually MagnetSF is pretty punctual. But this time the waiting was longer than usual. In a place like this one does not mind waiting too long. They have 4 computers one can use while waiting, and the clientele and the staff area nice to look at (wink).
4. But this time the 30 minute wait took over an hour. Apparently one of the patients, a very cute butch one, had fainted in the back examining room, when prodded with a needle for blood draw (he had also not eaten all day).
5. So 20+ minutes later the fire engines and paramedics arrive (woof!) to haul him off, with a smile on his face.
6. Finally, it's my turn, blood drawn, cell samples taken from the back of my throat(funny. Never gag when that's done), and my butt , then wait.
7. Tests came out fine, HIV came out negative. Interestingly, that my late partner of many yrs ago, was positive, we had unsafe sex, and I never got exposed.
My STD's will take 7-10 days for results, but I am sure I'm fine. But always best be sure :)
8. So running over an hour off schedule, I had to now drive to Pacifica, to Mazzetti's Bakery to purchase Christmas cookies for the first party. Then purchase a toy for a toy drive at another Christmas party, then home to change, then drive back to SF.
9. That made it impossible to help at a fundraiser at the Edge that day, for I made it to the first party an hour late.
10. The first party, The Cookie Exchange Christmas Party was an annual thing hosted by a long time friend. Pretty mellow, but the food he cooks is incredible. Goose, Pork, Paia. Four desserts, all baked from scratch!
11. Two hrs later it was off to friend Griff's home for his Christmas Toy Drive party. He was a florist yrs ago, and his housemate a department store window designer. So of course the home was decorated to the max. Full of food from the first party I managed to eat just a bit.
12. Stuffed with food, I managed to get home by 11 pm only to wake up the next day feeling nauseous. Too much food! To much rich food. I also scarfed enough chocolates as if it were my last meal of my life.
13. Feeling queasy on Sunday, I decided to stay in all day. Clean house, and relax.
14. The queasiness went on thru Monday. So really not sure if it was a touch of flu, slight food poisoning, or just eating too much rich stuff (which I usually do not do).
15. Feeling a bit better today, I managed a good workout at the gym, and made my current fav fast dish of Chicken Cacciatore for dinner.
16. Good news of DRAG, is that my friend Patrick awhile back had the idea of using the Trailer Trash Gurlz, and the Ducal Court and Mama's Family, to make money for Sunburst Projects, by creating wine labels of our characters, and selling the wine to raise money for the camp.
17. I will be posting the info tomorrow or the next day. Actually a great idea, and I hope it is a success
18. This means, I, Miss Sunny Side Up, may (if I want to) have to sing (lip-sync) at the Trailer Trash Christmas show this Friday night.
19. I found one nasty song (sung by a man) but may use it (Homo Christmas- by the Pansy's)
20. We shall see if I can memorize it fast enough, and if I would be up for doing it.
21. Well it's getting late. Off to sleep!

It always makes me laugh when a man faints when he sees a needle and knows he“ll get an injection or something like that. Usual we women are supposed to faint but often women are stronger when it comes to such things. ;-)
Sounds like a busy weekend/week. Wish a nice rest of the week. :-)
