cellboy1. I really thought our state was broke, but for some reason the California Water District is offering a plan for many buildings in the area, free water saving/efficient toilets. Where did they get the funds for that?
2. So in a couple of weeks we will be replacing our old 45 yr old toilets with some really nice ones. With the flush button on the top (where shall I put my Kleenex box?). We installed two test ones, and the flush power is awesome. And the tank refills quickly too! This also includes changing the angle stops.
3. They will have a crew of 5-6 men to do the install in our 102 units. Should take 4-5 days.
3. They were also offering new shower heads, but we did that last year with the electric light program (free ceiling light fixtures, and shower heads in each apt. And the light fixtures are nice!
4. So we have happy owners
5. Speaking of old fixtures, I woke up today with a bruised/strained heal, side of foot, and area below my ankle. Last night it started acting up at the gym (I was standing doing arm curls).
6. I guess my workout buddy and I worked too hard on legs last Sunday (He pushed me hard on arms Saturday, I pushed him hard on legs Sunday).
7. I know I need new gym shoes. Guess they were too loose or tight when I was doing leg presses. Anyway it is sore! Was hard to walk comfortably on it today!
8. It was really nice having a gym buddy. I did push harder, and so did he. He kept yelling at me (as my trainer used to) to breath. I have a bad habit of not breathing, or holding my breath too much when pressing weights in repetition.
9. He is home (NY) for a few weeks, so I'm without a gym buddy (I have a list of those on LJ that, if they lived closer, would be my ideal gym buddy :)
10. Scruff and Grindr are OK to go on, but e gads! My phone battery charge gets eaten up fast. So guess will have to limit checking the sites to only a few times a day.
11. Tonight I'm thinking of going to the Powerhouse, for the weekly Bare Chest Calendar contest. Friend Cody is running, so his partner Jack Facebooked everyone to go support him. Hope this doesn't go on too late.
