I will read this later when I have time. I have been wondering during all these years since gay marriage began to become real when John Boswell's work would enter the public discussion on this subject. I read his work, oh, god, nearly 20 years ago now. I was an undergrad at the time, so over 18 years ago.

I've also been saddened by the `what if' thoughts. What if Boswell had lived long enough to be part of this debate himself?
