Childhood Reminder

My sister sent me some pics of my Nephew and his kids picking out and returning home with their new Christmas tree in Livermore, CA.
A reminder of things I did growing up. It also reminded me of those cold Quebec winters when doing so.
I am also reminded of the wonderful Sugaring Off events, where many would get together, outside, in the cold, to watch the tapping of the Maple Trees, to then boil the sap in an instant, to yield maple syrup and maple sugar. Nothing tasted as extraordinary as tasting the hot maple syrup, after poured on cold snow, and eating the hardened candy with snow flakes attached. I really do miss Quebec. :)
