ACCOMPLISHED MORE THAN SHOPPING
I ENDED UP AGAIN DOWN IN SAN MATEO, PALO ALTO AND REDWOOD CITY
1. Went to Max Muscle to get a gift card for my trainer. The young buff owner. Cute (gaydar!!!!)
2. Was going to go to awesome Frys Electornics (better than Best Buy); but remembered that the parking is awful year round. So ended up at the mega Safeway in Redwood City @ Sequoia Station and got a Best Buy gift card instead, and other gift cards from smaller stores there.
3. Had delicious roast beef sandwich at a nearby Deli. This large woman walked in in festive holiday wear. Hummm. Big hands, big wide shoulders. And do I see an Adam's apple under the scarf? Ugh. Drag queens or trannys in Redwood City? She/he smiled at me, then ordered her/his food :o)
4. Down to Palo Alto to Restoration Hardware. Love that place! Avoided the APPLE STORE. If I go in, I will come out with something I should not of bought. I love that store too.
So I actually shopped better this yr. For 6 people I got 3 small gifts each. A total of $60-$65 per person. That is pretty good. I used to spend $80-$100 per person.
Then on a more serious note; after shopping,
I was off to a South Palo Alto cemetery to put flowers on my Dad's wall, and on my late partners' grave. It's been over a year, maybe more, since I have visited. This then becomes the time of the year that I reflect briefly on what I have done, and hope to do, and some of my regrets for the year. And maybe changes to come
Some Resolutions:
1. I'm thankful for where I have been, and who I am.
2. Like my job, but don't love it. Is this burnout, boredom, or need a change? I'm updating my resume. The need of change may be part of me needing to change a part of my personal life too.
(But I am so close to SF!) I somewhat regret not taking a management job in West Hollywood. I would of been closer to Palm Springs! More on that later.
3. Thankful for family. Glad we are not totally as dysfunctional as some I've seen. Or are we and I just don't see it. Ye Gads!
4. Of course thankful for the friends and people I have met now, and in the past.
5. My recent mid life crisis, has made me better myself, with the gym and all. Trying to reinvent myself I guess
6. As part of "the crises", I won't buy a corvette, but will work more on fitness (I need to get a colonoscopy! EEK! More on that later too). I'll probably get a tattoo, maybe one more piercing. And who knows??? I would like to have a Harley, or similar. Now that's a crisis!
Just thoughts. Happy Holidays

Solstice - The Witches Solstice
Dec. 22nd, 2007 10:20 pm(Yule) December 21 or 22 , marks the night of Winter Solstice, witches celebrate the darkest and longest night of the year. On this night we are reminded ...
I'm not too informed on this.... so here you go...
THE WICCA REED (seems like one is reading Lord of the Rings)
This video has nothing to do about Solstice... but a cute one about witches. I should of posted this for Halloween!
