Put some clothes on!
Sep. 16th, 2008 08:08 amMy sister and brother-in-law spent the night here (my bed), for they were taking a 5 am flight (I'm 4 miles to SFO) to Athens, Greece for their 2 week cruise.
So I slept in the spare room ("mom's room"), in a small twin bed. Woke up cold (the window faces west, towards the cold fog wind), and with a mild sore throat :(.
I get this every season, due mostly to weather changes, warm days and colder evenings, and not wearing much at the bars, and beer busts on the weekends. You would think that after 20+ yrs of going out, I would keep my clothes on (shirt), or wear something warmer at the bars and have a coat or something to put on when venturing outside. Especially this time of yr. I do this in early spring too (and of course get a cold). Fall is one of my favorite times of the yr. But I dress like it's still summer. Stubborn me. But then again even a child, my mom kept telling me to put on a coat. I hate layers of clothing. And this probably stems from being too bundled up when living in Quebec when young. I remember being dressed like I was going to the moon. Layers of clothing, and my mittens safety pined to the sleeve of my coat. Then walking to school, and taking forever to get it all off for class. :(. And the hassle to take it all off just to pee. (and yes, I did once get my tongue stuck on a railing in the winter. Doesn't every kid do that in cold climates?)
