Another Protest if intrested - Protest CineArts FRIDAY 6pm - 7:30pm??

Hello there fellow MovieBears
In an effort to reduce/eliminate ticket sales of MILK to Century Theatres, we would like to organize a quite protest in front of the Empire Theatre, in West Portal, Friday night December 5th, from 6pm – 7:30pm. Milk is scheduled to show at the prime time slot of 7:00pm at that theatre, and we would like people to hand out flyers that talk about Cinemark’s donation, and where else they can see the movie.

Sadly, Drew, nor myself can attend as we are both out of town, so we would like someone to volunteer to lead the cause.

We are also in contact with http://NoMilkForCinemark.com and they will be providing the copy for the flyers we will be handing out to people intending to see the movie at the Empire. The flyers will direct people to see MILK at the Castro Theatre, Embarcadero Landmark, or Sundance Kabuki.

Now, we know some of you may be against this, but most of the people we have heard from on this issues are for this kind of action/boycott so we are continuing to help the cause.

So if you are interested in taking the lead, please let me know. We will then email a message with complete details tomorrow.

Protest info continued - Peaceful Protest at CineArts Empire Theatre Friday - Sat

Hi all,

We are a go for our protest of the CineArts Theatre at West Portal.
The protest will start at 6:00pm at the theatre located at 85 West Portal Avenue.
You can take Underground K L or M lines to the West Portal Station.
If you would like to bring signs, that is great. We need people to hand out flyers that
Will be available when you arrive. Look for Andrea Tosi, who will have the flyers to share.
Chant if you wish. But please be peaceful. We want to get our message across and not have
any altercations. Stay on the sidewalk. Do not go on theatre property, do not go into the street.

We will be repeating this on Saturday night as well at the same time. Look for Duane.
Pass this on to your other lists if you have not already done so.
If anyone takes photos, please be sure and pass them our way and we will post them.
