the weekend ok so far (whats with the Santas in the Castro?)

1. Finally finished my holiday shopping
2. Did the gym for the first time in 6 days. My trainer didn't beat me up too much....since I am just recovering from a cold
3. Last night, went to Holiday Party on Steiner, Griffs new place. About 20 people. Griff used to own a florist shop in Willow Glen (San Jose). And his room mate used to do the windows at I Magnum at Union Square. So of course the two Christmas trees and house decor were beautiful.
4. Of my friends at the party, none can commit to going to the Milk movie. So guess I may do it alone.
5. Went to Magnet yesterday, to get my quarterly STD tests (don't know why.... sex for me has been nill or pretty tame). I also wanted to get my HIV test (been 3 yrs). They were packed. The Magnet scheduler, who lives down near me, likes me and was so nice. He gave me his card, and told me to call him ahead of time, next week, and he will set up an appt. How nice. He normally is not suppose to do that.
6. While driving into the Castro on Saturday, there must of been over 1000 Santas walking everywhere. Every corner, bar, sidewalk. What was the event??


7. I seem to have the Holiday Blahs.... hope I shake out of it.

1. If finally felt like winter. Rain, cold wind, and freeway flooding everywhere. Snow level to possibly drop to 1500 feet tonight.
2. Went to an event at Marlena's Bar. Hosted by Pollo del Mar.
3. Although considered a drag bar, the clientele is changing. From mostly gay to sometimes on weekends 80% straight. Interesting.
4. If you do have a chance though, pop in after the sun goes down. The holiday decorations are incredible. $$$$$ was spent over the yrs acquiring all of this
5. I learned from a very handsome man and his girlfriend that the Santa's invading the city was part of the yearly thing. SANTACON.
6. Where have I been on this one? Lots of my friends did not know either. And they are usually in the know on this stuff (we need to turn in our gay card on this one)
