memories. this is emotional, again :(

1. I am boxing and organizing my mom's photos, our family history.
2. Some photos from the 1900's some I just don't know who they are. But most I do. My great grandparents, grandparents in Sherbrooke, Quebec City, Edmonton, Montreal.
3. Now I know why I have been avoiding all of this.
4. My sister packed in a bag my mom's Pink Lady uniform, when she lovingly volunteered for years at Stanford Hospital. I pulled it out of a bag, and with it a golf sweater that she wore for often.
5. I started balling my eyes out.
6. As for the photos. There are hundreds. Most in albums, but also lots just piled in bags.
7. Teary eyed I scanned through. Boxed most for storage. To go through and sort for another time
8. My sister, who is not a sentimentalist, or really does not care I guess about family history. Her kids don't either. She made a comment when we were emptying my mom,s home and apt last year. Sad that we all take photos, to later when we die, will anyone care? Or keep? As time and generations go. We will never be remembered??
9. My nephews don't care. I unfortunately have no kids to care either.
10. So those things I cherish will probably just go to the dumps when I die. Sad. My history, my family history and their memories, to the trash heap, or to be found in some antique shop, with other obscure pile of books and photo albums of unknown people
11. I think I will stop now and do something more joyful. Off to SF Eagle and Furry Sunday at 440.

Sunday update

1. Very very very very, packed at the Eagle today. Since the gay porn awards were held Saturday night (Castro Theater), the Eagle was packed with porn stars from every studio. In some instances it looked like a steroid convention. Woof! And not so Woof. The usual case, many porn stars are much shorter in person. And some were not that good looking. In fact pretty tired and seedy looking. But of course there were those that were yummy.
2. So with the difficulty of just standing, moving around, getting and eating a yum yum hamburger, after eating I decided to leave early and go to the Castro to Furry Sunday at 440. Not too crowded. And the bears, and muscle bears were so much better looking than the porn stars at the Eagle (or were they porn actors too?)
3. Of course me and our group are invisible to them. But nice to watch in any case.
4. Home by 8 pm, din din, catch up on emails. Hot bath and bed
