Finally caught up with the future

1. After 4 days of painting and replacing vinyl, our laundry room finally had the card system machines installed today.
2. That means you can add value to the laundry card with your credit/debit card. YAY!
3. Now I am not scrambling for quarters; or picking them off the floor at 440 and the Eagle (lol)
4. As for the 21st century, I live only half a mile from BART, and I never use it. I am glued to my car. My Bad. But I feel so secure in my car.
5. Since I am going to meet a friend at SFMOMA after work to see Avedon, I will park my car at the BART station and ride up. That way I avoid the mess auto commute getting to downtown.
6. It's getting warm out there. We are supposedly to hit the high 90's by the end of the weekend. The last hurrah of summer.

The Avedon

exhibit was great! And not crowded.
1. I did end up taking BART. My old card in my wallet look sun bleached. So I took it to the managers booth to see if there was any value left. It was unreadable, so he gave me a free round trip pass to Montgomery Station
2. I managed to get to SFMOMA by 7.
3. It was great seeing my friend Griff. Hadn't seen him for quite awhile.
4. We chatted as we walked thorough the exhibit. I think I may of missed a little bit by our catching up, but it was enjoyable.
5. You had to of been there at the moment, but I commented on how at the entrance of each exhibit space, there would be a synopsis of Avadon's history and life, printed on the wall. Curious, I felt the wall and the so ever slightly raised letters and said "cool". Griff responded, that would make it easy for a blind person to figure it out.
I looked at him, he looked at me, and then I said, "why would a blind person want to see a photo exhibit?" Then we started laughing, until tears were welling up in our eyes. You know how it is, when you connect with a friend in a way and start laughing endlessly at the stupidest things.
Note: This is not to make fun of the bind mind you.
6. We spent some time viewing all the photos. But I just realized I missed the Janet Joplin photo! Arg! I so wanted to see it. Oh well.
7. We later made to the roof to enjoy the view, and the very warm city air. A few people were out there as well.
8. A cute bearish man and a woman friend were out there as well. I immediately noticed him, with a slight "yum" from my mind. He was holding a very expensive professional camera, taking photos of the rooftop sculptures art work, and I think of Griff and me,
9. They then went inside. Griff and I went in later.
10. On our way out, we passed the couple, he looked at me, with shy eyes and said hi. I responded with a smile and a Hi, and we continued to pass each other. Was he cute!
11. Had Griff not been with me, or maybe had not his woman friend not been with him, the Hi would of been less of a passers by visit.
12. It was closing time, so we left. I told Griff that I will tell my blind friend about that exhibit, and that he should go! :). We then went to Union Square, the Apple Store, and just walked around.
OMG! You can see Macy's has Christmas trees displayed on the top floor. That's awful. That's too soon!!
13. It was almost 8 pm, I had not eaten, he had already, so I decided it was time to go home.
14. So back home via BART, ate dinner, and watched Project Runway. Gads! Paper dresses? Awesome stuff!!
15. I did post to the mystery bear on Craig's list, missed connections. Who knows? Maybe he reads the stuff :).
