I missed IBR this year ramble
Feb. 22nd, 2011 02:41 pm1. With having to work on Saturday, and the gloomy cold and rainy day, (and the on the edge return of my cold), I decided to hibernate for the night. Skip any possibility of doing anything IBRish
2. I did get to the Eagle for a bit on Sunday... and so with the very very packed house, I assumed it was the combination of IBR visiting crowd, and the other visitors here for the 3 day weekend. We decided to avoid the Lone Star, figuring lines, and a too packed bar.
3. So it was off to 440 later on. They had their Furry Sunday event a week early in order to accommodate IBR.
4. Since I switched work days for Saturday, I had Monday off. I decided to stay in and reluctantly start organizing stuff for taxes. Yuk. Actually glad I did. Damn! Did I spend a lot or what? This will be a good write off year I suspect.
5. The only really thing I feel bad about is not meeting for the first time, some visiting lj'ers at IBR. :(
6. Now that that event is over, I have to ponder the next thing to go to. Or possibly go to.
7. IML? Not sure yet. Need to figure vacation time for that. Good thing is that I have a free hotel stay!
8. Lazy Bear? Of course!!! I think the house has already been reserved. As functions go. I prefer the outdoor summer stuff anyway.
9. Bear Week Provencetown? Probably not this year. Been trying to get my friends to go for 3 yrs! Due to Lazy Bear, it's too close on the calendar for vacation requests. But would be fun to visit NYC ahead of time too! :)
10. Gay Pride Montreal? After speaking to a fellow Canadian at the Midnight Sun last week, he has my interest stirred with this event. Again, too close to Lazy Bear. But a trip with friends to Montreal, Gay Montreal, anytime, would be fun.
11. Then there is Southern Decadence. Oops! Same time as Lazy Bear.
12. So maybe next year we can skip LB and have us do something different! :)
