The weekend and week so far
May. 16th, 2011 05:27 pm1. Well, yes it was the usual out and about with friends on Friday night in the Castro. Although home somewhat early (12 am) with Jim, I did not sleep well that night after he left.
2. So Saturday was some R & R. Just did not have the umpf to do much, yet wanted to do something. So last minute I decided to go to the San Jose area and do a bit of wine tasting.
And here I thought that after Friday night, it would be no drinking, till Sunday's beer bust at the Lone Star! LOL! Oh well. The drive was down was relaxing in any case. And so was the wine!
3. Since Jim grew up in the area, he knew where to go. We first went to Savannahchanelle Winery. It's pretty close to San Jose, in the town of Saratoga. Nice drive through the Santa Cruz Mountains, the Redwoods and all. Casual place. And nice staff.
4. We then went to Sycamore Creek, in Morgan Hill. Wine tasting was done in the barn, or tin roofed facility. Nice staff and pretty good wine!
5. We then meandered south to San Martin to Close La Chance Winery.
6. Nice wines and facilities! They were setting up for a wedding. What a great setting for such an event!
7. Home fairly early, I suddenly got very sleepy. Red Wine not only causes headaches for me, but takes all the energy out of me.
8. Sunday morning I woke up with a headache, and after gym (cardio) noticed I had a slight fever (101) after working out. The headache got worse as the day rolled on. So I stayed in, napped on and off, and watched TV (Avatar). That evening, my fever was gone, felt much better. Today I feel pretty good. Just a bit of tummy gurgle. What was all that about?
9. Maybe it was a touch of the 24hr flu? When will cold season end? This fall, I am taking the flu shot!
10. I had less colds, when I was out of shape, and never worked out! LOL!!
11. When will we finally get some decent weather? It is raining right now. And they are even talking snow at Tahoe again!
12. Our Rent Roll system has been down all day. So I can't generate reports needed for today. Oh well. Guess I'll surf the web instead! :)
13. The only real thing accomplished today was my signing and paying for my DRE renewal (Dept of Real Estate) classes I'll be taking on line. I hate on line classes. Live is so much more interesting (one's eye lids get less heavy).
