(I'm a few days late in posting. LJ has been down for 4 days!)
Whew! With 2 weddings to attend in one week, and work being A bit hellish, I need a vacation!
2. Last Friday was stay in night, for Saturday it was my Nephew's wedding in Lodi.
3. Jim was to attend with me. He arrived on time at my place. I wasn't ready of course. But later it was off, to Lodi.
4. The drive was not bad, and Lodi is pretty nice! We wore shorts, and brought suits to change later.
5. We arrived 2 hrs early Harmony Vineyards, where the wedding is to take place. A very nice venue. And nice staff. The son of the owner offered us some wine tasting, so we did. Pretty good wines.
6. Interestingly, in the wine tasting room is a large pipe organ. And to the opposite side, a wall with windows, with a view of organ pipes behind.
7. The pipe organ is the original organ from the Castro Theater, in San Francisco. Used during the silent film era.
8. The owner (who is now 85 yrs old), purchased it, refurbished it and now has it not only for display, but also used for concerts, and lessons. Apparently he is a very good organist (masters in music)
9. His son is pretty cute too!
10. We wore shorts there, but were happy to find out we could change in the grooms room on site.
11. Since early, we ventured out to look at a few nice wineries in the area. Back in time to change for the wedding that would begin in an hour.
12. The wedding was nice, not too long. About 60 guests. Ceremony accompanied by violin music
13. Food, speeches, toasts was great.
14. And the outdoor weather, for wedding and dinner was prefect. Not too hot or too cold
15. The Minister (cute bear) was also the DJ. Seen him before working at my corporate events.
16. Music got better (more modern) as the evening began. And of course Jim and I were the only 2 guys dancing together :)
17. Jim had to be back home the next day, so we drove home that night.
18. I had not planned to go to brunch, that my sister had planned, but I had so much fun meeting
everyone, that I decided I would drive back (to Elk Grove this time. Near Sacramento).
19. So with very little sleep, woke up on Sunday, and dove up for the 11am brunch at Boulevard Bistro, owned by a cute bear, and chef.
20. Food was great!
21. By 1pm it was back to SF, for a quick stop to see friends at the Lone Star.
22. Home fairly early, dinner, then to sleep! With 2 weddings in one week, work, and with the owner visits to my property, I was pooped!
23. By Tuesday, I was back to my non-tired regular self.
When I first walked into the Winery, where the wedding was being held, I notices there were a set of photos of my nephew, my sister and her husband on their wedding day, with my parents. It bought tears to my eyes to see my parents. They were so young! My age!
My sister told me, she gave Michael (my nephew), my fathers handkerchief that he always wore) to wear in his pocket), and one to Kim (my nephews fiance) , that was given to my mother, from her mother, which then had gave to my sister to wear for her wedding day. My sister did the same tradition for her first son's wedding. What a nice tradition!
A photo (sorry for the glare) of my Nephew, his fiancee. The large one of my sister, her new husband, and my parents.

(l-r)Bill (my Brother-in-Law), Kim, Michael, my sister, and Mike's older brother and best friend,Chris,
