1. Although the drive was a bit slow with the heavy traffic through Novato and Petaluma, Carlos, Ho and I made it to the house by 3:30 PM.
2. The home was about 10 minutes west of town. About 2600 sq ft, tri level. With an apt/office in the lower part. Bedrooms, kitchen and living room on the main floor. And a bar/family room on the top floor. We all got our spots set. And Patrick and Jake the owners, were so nice and accommodating, it was heartwarming.
3. Patrick and Jake are not only one of the nicest people I have met. But have hearts the size of Guerneville.
4. The outside of the home has balconies, decks that stretch around the structure, on different levels, dead ending into little seating areas.
5. Jake and Patrick have green thumbs. And they also have a chicken coup with 3 large chickens. Eggs for our breakfasts!
6. We all 5 of us bought too much food for the weekend(the hosts were planning to feed us!). Enough food for 10 more guests!
7. Fonzie cooked breakfast, and the hosts were making us dinner, and drinks most of the weekend.
8. So it was off to the Rainbow Cattle Company (the only gay bar in town), to run into most we knew, and many that Mama knew all together. Later on it was off to Cody's event at Buck's (Grungestar Band)
9. We were out not too late. For Saturday was the Pool party at the "Estate", and some sunning at the Woods (if there were room).
10. We did not make it to the Woods, for it was too much fun, and Pepper Spray was to play that afternoon. They were fantastic. And so were the DJ’s Sean Mac (Atlanta) and Craig Gaibler (San Francisco). Then it was off to the Rainbow for a bit.
11. Later that night it was back to the home to eat, with guests that we and the hosts invited and relax. We were actually too sunned out and prolly drinked out too. We all decided to stay in and make it horror movie night.
12. Sunday was the big day for the pool party at the Estate. Packed, with lots of eye candy. And one of our faves, DJ Rotten Robbie was spinning the tunes. And to our surprise Harry Lit, was also there. He has made a remarkable recovery from the stroke. Still more to go, but his speech was moving.
13. We later ended up at the Rainbow, where Mama bought us Long Islands. Strong but good!
14. After dinner at home it was back to town for more Long Islands, and then off to the River Theater for PLAY T-Dance. Lots of eye candy, and flagging (flag dancing). But the music sucked. We did not get to do most of the scheduled events (been to those before), but with the time constraint of have some of Jake's friends, and ours over for dinner, we missed the Sister's Bingo, which is one of the best events to attend.
15. We met up with Jakes friend, Jack, one of the flag dancers. Then went over to an after party at the Sonoma Nesting Company (an antique shop next to the theater. The proprietors, actully lease the property from Jake and Patrick.
16. The party seemed to go on forever. And later some nasty goings on at the back counter (grin). To end the party some people were making uh......yellow drinks. LOL!
17. We, Jake, Carlos, Fonzz,Jack, and I then made it back to the house. Carlos, Jake, Jack and I continued to celebrate the last night of Lazy Bear at the upstarts bar in our undies (nothing nasty happened, till about 5 am.
18. Since Ho let the air out of Carlos' air mattress- not funny! (the owners provided Ho, me and Carlos an air mattress and sheets!), Carlos had to sleep on the couch, and Jack slept with me on the double sized air mattress Note: We just cuddled, nothing happened. Not really my type anyway :(
19. Carlos forgot to put his C-pap on. And Jack has a bit of sleep apnea himself. So I did not sleep too well. Till I finally got my earplugs out. Slept maybe 4 hrs or less
20. Monday Carlos and I made it back by 3 pm. When I got home I jumped into bed for about 3 hrs of sleep before dinner. Today I'm not too tired.
21. I get Friday off, for the Yuba River trip :)
