Thursday Ramble
Sep. 15th, 2011 01:55 pm1. Been busy at work. Management companies really need to streamline. Too many reports/paperwork.
2. But with layoffs at corporate, the extra work has been shifted to us.
3. The indecisive applicant of last week came back, liked the other apt (he liked what he did not want. A not so sunny apt). He was a mess. Busy with his appliance repair business, and soon to be married in 3 days, no wonder he was a space cadet.
4. Had my 6 month teeth cleaning yesterday. Dentist gave me hell. They told me to floss more. I have been really bad at tooth care recently. I used to floss at least every other day. Brush morning, noon, and night. Now I have been skipping many bedtime brushings. And flossing little. This will change. Brush, Brush, Floss, Floss!
5. This am, my file drawer sliders at the office fell apart. Cheap furniture. I hope to get new better quality stuff soon!
6. I don't know what I did, but my on line checking account balance does not match my check book balance. I have more $$$ than I thought I did :)
7. Will be busy most of the weekend with Leather Walk stuff. For the past few years I have given up on finding sponsors. Maybe lazy. But just don't have the patience, or time to hit bar after bar, and place after place for $$$.
8. I have however, for 2-3 years supplied the helium tanks and over 200 balloons for the event. We release the balloons after speeches are made and the Leather Flag is raised at Harvey Milk Plaza (to mark the beginning of Leather Week. Leather Week ends Folsom Street Fair day).
9. In the past we would raise over $40,000. Now about $20,000. Sign of a slow economy.
10. It is a fun walk from the Castro to SOMA. Music truck in front, with a few entertainers.
11. You don't have to wear leather. Just have fun and walk! So if you're bored Sunday.......
12. We end up at the Lone Star, for more fun times.
13. Comfort food for lunch? Tuna Melt! Yum!
