The weekend and week so far
Dec. 6th, 2011 08:01 am1. I am so glad my sister visited for a couple of days. . The first night, after a nice dinner, we were so tired, we just crashed.
2. Friday was productive. We got my tree up as you know. I just now have to get some lights up on the balcony, and on the large Jade plant.
3. With the wind storms from last week, the property lost a tree, that blocked my view from my balcony, of the mountains, city, and of my neighbors to my right.
4. I wanted the tree to be trimmed down to at least see San Bruno Mountain. But a whole tree down, makes some bit of difference. I see a too much of the city, and too much of the building that houses the neighbors. Now I have to be careful not to stand naked near the window! LOL
5. My sister and I ate at a new restaurant in San Bruno. West Coast Cafe was really really good! So if any of you are in the San Bruno area, try it out!
6. The weekend was busy for sure. With two Christmas parties, and a fundraiser on Saturday. Then a fundraiser on Sunday, it was busy for sure. I squeezed in gym time and sleep in time as best I could.
7. My sister decided a few years ago, because of the number of people in the family, and that my nephews are struggling with finances, due to the economy and having kids, to have us pull a name out of a hat at Thanksgiving. One adult is chosen for each person to buy a Christmas gift for. The price must be no more than $40, not inducing tax.
8. Whew! That leaves the pressure off of buying for 10+ people(the little kids are exempt from this process)!
9. I am to buy for my brother-in-law. He wants a drill. Ace hardware had a sale Sunday on the one he wanted. My sister called me too late to tell me, but she managed to get it for me. Yay!
10. Work has been busy. Move in, move outs, new 30 day notices.
11. My GM took me and my manager friend out for lunch last week to celebrate our 5 year annivarsary with the management company. We even got a $200 gift cert to a list of stores for our choosing. Yay for that!
12. Well off to eat, shower, and too work.
