1. Last Friday ended up being one of those weird nights, where you ask yourself, "WTF Happened?. I had a great time, I think, but WTF happened?
2. Last minute plans to meet Mark, Ho, and Patrick at the Sun for Happy Hour, ended up being a toasted evening, enough to mostly ruin most of my Saturday.
3. Had the usual one order of 2 for 1's at the Sun. It was at 440 where it got out of hand. I had only $40 for that evening, but who bought us all the drinks? Was it Ho? Brad, the bartender? Were the drinks spiked? All I remember was taking the cab home with Ho to his house, sleeping there, and waking up feeling dreadful. I know I had post holiday blues, but this is not the way to cure it. In fact it makes it worse!
4. Once back home the next morning, it took me till almost 1 pm to eat, or keep food down. Filling my tummy with ginger and water, and ginger ale, helped.
5. Thank God I did not have to be to Lee's birthday dinner at Cafe Mystique until8pm. I did not go to the gym. Or begin working on taxes. I just vegged :(
I have not been in this mode for years, and know why. It sucks. Ruins the whole next day.I did however watch the 49'er game which was awesome! An awesome last 10 minutes in fact.
6. It's also a reminder I'm not 20 any more. Well I could not tolerate all of that heavy partying even when young (I have a stomach made of glass).
7. Feeling much better later on, I met the dinner group at 440 before walking next door to the cafe. I thought to maybe try a beer (as one says to try a Bloody Mary when hung over, usually makes one feel better). I had 2 sips (yuk!), and could not drink the rest.
7. The dinner party was nice. The Moroccan food delightful. I had trout. We did have however pitchers of Sangria to share. That was not too bad, but I stuck mostly with water.
8. After dinner, Ho and I ran into friend Desmond, asking us if we remembered him putting us into a cab that night. We didn't! LOL. He said Ho was trying to open up some straight girls car door, thinking it was a cab (she was not too happy about it). He said we stumbled into the cab and were off. Only to wake up with Ho's hand on my butt. Ewwwww! We're girlfriends!
9. Sunday, feeling much better, but still in post holiday blues, I was off to the gym for an hour. I wanted to stay home and work on taxes, but Jim was up in SF there and kept insisting I join him to watch the NY Giants game. So it was off to watch the football game at the Star, with care as to avoid any partying whats so ever.
9. Game was good. Now that the Giants won, they play the 49'er here, this weekend at Candlestick park! (I must say the 49'ers are finally back on track. Plus the certainly have a bunch of good looking players!
10. I looked up the cost of tickets to the game. The lowest was $409. Such a steal! LOL
11. I did have to work on MLK day. Was busy! Damn!
