1. Friday was the usual out with the boys. Most stayed in due to the bad weather. But Jim and I made to the Sun, 440, then dinner at Harvey's.

2. We later went down to Folsom, to check things out, on the way back to the Freeway to home.

3. Saturday our new weekend gal started her first weekend. She did pretty well, in spite of the constant calling me. But I was still able to get to the gym, do a bit of food shopping, and some laundry on Saturday night

4. No. Jim and I nixed our possibility of going wine tasting on Saturday. It was windy and pouring rain. Will a decent Spring or Summer ever arrive? And seeing the second round of wind and rain arrive by dinner time, I decided to stay in. Of course most of our group went out that night. Oh well.

5. Sunday morning Griff, Lee, Tom, Ho and myself met at the Castro Muni station, to ride it down to Mels Diner on Mission for breakfast/brunch. Then to the Metreon to see Wrath of the Titans

6. The 3 D movie was action bicep and thigh packed (woof). Not of course a deep meaningful script, but entertaining. I always love the way they either look still too modern, or speak modern slang for a movie that is to take place in ancient Greek times. And the Queen, who is also a warrior in the movie, has a $300 (or more) highlight job the hair, and her lipstick seems to never come off (or the eyeliner, and face makeup too)

7. I don't know if Ho has a tapeworm, but he seems to be always hungry. 10 minutes after brunch, he has to have a hot dog at the movie. Then after the movie he insisted we eat lunch at Orphan Andy's.

6. Thanks to that stop (I had the turkey patty diet plate), we made it to the Edge Bar for 3:30 pm, 30 minutes late, unable to get inside, for the place was crowed, with a line out the door for Mikey's Memorial

7. Standing outside we could hear a bit of it. Later that day, friend Carlos told me it was very moving. His dad, sons were there. They among many spoke of their fond memories of Mikey.

8. So we ended up at 440 for awhile. I did have the surprise of running into [livejournal.com profile] urbear. I had not seen him in a long time!

9. We did make it back to the Edge Bar, after the service. They were still playing a video displaying photos of his life. Along the wall, hung all his baseball caps. There were hundreds!

10. Later on it was to head home, to a busy catch up day on Monday and today. Incoming rents, application processing, and correcting a few mistakes that happened over the weekend kept me busy

11. A nice was an invite from a friend that I have known since I came out in the mid 80's. Andrew lived close by to me in Redwood City. And later lost his job in the Dot Com bust of that time, to end up living with me. Since he never slept well in the same bed with people (maybe because I could not keep my hands off of him. LOL), I rented my couch to him to sleep on for $200/month. It worked out fine. He later got a fabulous IT job later on, and moved to SF

12. Anyway I have really not seen him in years, since he moved to Alameda. The last time I remember is when Carlos and I decided to go out Halloween weekend, about 6 yrs ago, in drag. We ran into Andrew and his new BF/ partner
Shane, yum )

13. I invited them to my post New Years party this year, but they had to go to Shane's company party an could not make it.

14. Anyway, they are hosting a the I'm invited to Shane's 34th b day party and open house this month. Will be fun to see them and their home.

15. I may have a friend that may be visiting from SoCal that week, so this will give us something to do!
