1. A bit late in posting but have been fairly busy last weekend and up to today.
2. Friday I went to the gym after work, then at home for the evening.
3. Saturday I got my hair cut in the Castro, then home for errands and out later that night to meet Ho and Mark. Ho was distressed and had not slept all night. Apparently his authorized Comcast Payment via B of A for $250 was made. But in the amount of $2500. Comcast called him at 3am. He finally remedied the mistake, but had to wait for Comcast to mail the check. Needless to say he was on a strict budget that weekend! DRAMA!
4. Sunday, I met Tom and Lee at SF FITNESS, formerly SOMA GOLDS, for a good hard workout. What a difference having someone to workout with. On a bicep curl just the help of someones hand or even finger to lift that last and hard rep makes a difference. My arms were sore for 3 days!
5. Later on that day we all went to Mama's first Christmas toy drive at the Edge. Fun, but I was home pretty early.
6. Monday was a busy day at work, at least in the morning, but pretty boring in the afternoon. Things are slowing down. Holidays upon us! Plus the housing market is strengthening here, which means the demand for rental housing has lessened
7. During most of the week I had been communicating back and fourth with Ben,
kc_risenphoenix. His partner Raymond and he were out in Manteca for Thanksgiving and were hoping to be in San Francisco at least one night. And they did! What a nice and cute couple. I met them in the Castro
(previous post)after my work. We walked the Castro then went to SOMA to visit the Hole in the Wall, Powerhouse, and Lone Star. SOMA was pretty quiet, but Castro was busy.
8. I was also fortunate to meet for the first time George,
wet_in_sf, and his boyfriend Jim, gagbear. It was fun meeting them all!
9. But as the night rolled on, the rain and weather got worse. By the end of our evening together it was pouring heavily! After a late dinner at Orphan Andy's I drove home in a downpour of rain. Freeways flooded, and a few cars had spun out. But I made it home, with drenched clothing.
10. Today was a quiet day. Good thing. I was exhausted!
11. Tomorrow, since my nephew and his wife and kids are off to their in-laws for Thanksgiving, by sister is doing only a quiet one with my other nephew and his wife, and another couple that live near by. My nephews wife gets off work late, so Thanksgiving is at 7 pm. I have to work Friday, so I decided to stay home. The traffic to Sacramento will be awful.
12. Years ago I tried to volunteer at St Anthony's or Glide Church in serving meals to the homeless, but was not too successful. Help fills up fast, so it's pretty hard to get in.
13. So friend Patrick and I, with are volunteering at
Tenderloin Tessies early afternoon. Then later, possibly go out for dinner. Or not, if Tenderloin feeds us
14. I'm really excited about doing this. Once in awhile we, or I, need a reality check as to what else is going on around us. And in turn be thankful for everything in my life.
