The weekend and week so far

1. Friday was a stay at home night for Saturday would be the start of a busy holiday celebrating weekend.

2. I had 3 things to attend, back to back on Saturday. Geoff's party, a first time invite. Jose Sarria's 90th birthday dinner, and Griff's annual Christmas Party and toy drive

3. Seeing that the birthday celebration was black tie, or the such, I had to go to all 3 parties in a black suit. Nice change for a change

4. Tom, Lee, Ho and I arrived at Geoff's party about 4 pm. OMG! What a house! But OMG, how many antiques and stuff can you cram (I thought my late partner's home was bad)! It was like being in a museum. Beautiful antiques, of all styles, religious icons, virgin Marys, and even a huge almost life size Christ on the cross, on your way up the stairs to the bedrooms.

5. Food was good, holiday decor grand. And all served with a really nice staff. Geoff, being the owner of STACK'S restaurant, of course had good food, and lots of excellent drink. Most of our gang hung out in the back yard, under the trellis, next to the food of course!

6. I had to then rush to the Whitcomb Hotel on Market to go to Jose Sarria's birthday dinner. I'm not really into the Imperial Court stuff much, but since he was the founder, and a gay activist, before Stonewall(he even ran for SF Board of Supervisors in the 60's), out of respect, I thought I should go. 7. So after hearing speeches, watching the drag queen performances, and dinner (which was not bad considering the bad food history this hotel has), it was off to Griff's Party and toy drive.

8. Griff collected lots of toys which he will give to the SFFD for their toy drive.

9. Home not too late, I slept lousy. My stomach was churning with all the mixes of food in one evening. Turkey, salmon, cookies, beef, cookies, candy, cake, fish.

10. Sunday was a lazy morning, but I did make it to the gym, then later to the Midnight Sun for the Ducal Christmas event. Then after an hour there, off to 440 for Scruffy Sunday Toy drive. I stayed too late, and regretted it Monday morning. Boy was I tired! Had an early to sleep last night, so that helped

11. Now for the fun or not so fun stuff. Got to get holiday cards out, a tree of some sort up. Do a bit of holiday shopping.

12. Odd thing is now, LJ and FB are working on my old Firefox browser this week. Well back to work! Have a great day!
