1. This week has been so busy, I for a second forgot what I did last Friday night. Oh! I started to get ready for the event honoring Queen Cougar in SF. But I was not feeling that great, I decided to stay in. I felt bad about not going in fact I was showered and ready to go out the door, but then with my stomach feeling a bit off, I thought I'd better stay in. Glad I did. Saturday night was the Mr SF Leather Contest, and THAT I really wanted to go to.
2. Saturday I did manage to go to the gym, my own small one for a change. Then off to MAGNET the Castro neighborhood free clinic for my annual test. They swabbed me here and there then sent all to the labs for results next week. Thats for the STD's. The HIV test results you get while you wait. Results were negative. Whew! Dodged that bullet again! :)
3. After eating dinner at home, I picked up Mark to go join the gang at the contest. I missed last years event, so it was nice to be there and see so many I had not seen in quite awhile. Contest went well, Daddy Ray (Ray Tilton... BARK!) did an excellent job producing the event. Winner was Andy Cross. Mr Powerhouse 2013. I actually thought Big Red or Andy were going to win.

4. After the contest Mark, Cody, and I went to the Eagle. We just had to see it at night. The reopening after being closed for 2 yrs. WOW! They did a great job. In main bar area, they pushed the bar back against the wall. The old coat check area is a DJ booth. The old DJ booth/office is now an ADA bathroom. The outside has also changed. The annoying drippy trees were removed. The outside bar redone. Cleaned up. New patio, refaced BBQ. Looks good!

The main bar.
5. Home fairly early, 11 pm, it was off sleep, with a slowly increasing sore throat and cough.
6. Sleeping in Sunday helped my cold somewhat. Mid morning, I met again for a second time with my weekend person to go over stuff being he is covering for me while I'm on vacation.
7. After lunch, even though I probably should stay in and nurse my cold, it was off to SF to hit the Eagle Beer Bust. I got there at 2:30. Thank God I did! By 4 pm, the line stretched all the way down to Folsom. And they were seriously controling the occupancy of the bar. I was told the ABC (Alcoholic Beverage Commission) had already been by 3 to be sure they were checking ID's and not letting the bar be dangerously packed. That made sense this time. Seeing the lines of excited people waiting to get back to the Eagle again, it would of been mobbed!
8. Hence the patio was not too packed (since the packed crowd was on the on the sidewalk out front.
9. It felt like time had stopped, and it was just another Sunday at the Eagle. Same folks that frequented the place for years were back, standing in their usual spots.

11. Woke up Monday, chest congestion, sore throat. Tonight much better. I think its a combination of allergy and cold. I take Tussen, it helps for a bit, but after I took an allergy pill I feel better. A very busy week at work so far. Doing two weeks of work in 2 days, just to get out of here for vacation (yay!)
12. So I need to cut this short sorry to say. I am all packed (I packed too much!). Mark and I are off to Hawaii (Oahu) for a week. We are meeting up with Ho, Carlos, Gary, Tilly, and Griff, who have been there since last Saturday. Got go be up early!
13. So off to sleep! Hopefully I'll think of posting via my phone. I never think of doing it that way! LOL
