The week and weekend(s) so far

1. I haven't posted much in the past couple of weeks because every time I would go on this site (before work or on my lunch), the stupid Frank the Goat would pop up. And LJ was running really slow. So of course LJ gave me one more free comp week.... at this rate I'll have a free year!! LOL. So I fell into FB, since it was easily accessible

2. So lets see....... not last weekend but the weekend before it was pretty tame. I did manage to get up to SF Friday to the Lone Star for the Cupcake event. Pretty busy there acually. Mark and Carlos and I met first at Don Ramons for dinner. Food not so great. After that, Mark and I went to Lone Star. Carlos went to some other event. Jim was there too. Mark had a drink then was off to the Powerhouse for a fundraising event. I stayed behind with Jim, on the patio for some chat and a cigar (I rarely smoke)

3. Saturday, I stayed close to home. Then Sunday it was down to San Jose for the BUTCH 4 yr annivarsary event. Saw and chatted with Khol, friend David (from SSF), and dendren and his partner Bob (they were also celebrating 21 yrs together that day too!). It was great seeing them all.

4. Monday was the pits at work for I got some bitter sweet news. Our maintenance man, who has been here for 11 yrs, gave a 2 week notice. He found a better paying position, and better job in commercial maintenance. The bad thing is his knowledge of the place. He was hard to deal with, following orders etc, and actually always on the line of getting canned due to his attitude sometimes. We had a like hate relationship. I haven't panicked yet. Finding someone will be a pain. And even worse, using temp labor will be even more of a pain. But we'll manage.

5. Last Friday I was invited to that "play party" again in Hayward. Less men showed up, but I had a good time, and met some really nice people.

6. Since Friday was a very late evening, Saturday was stay at home time, errands, gym and stuff.

7. Have been doing the gym thing as usual. My shoulder had been bothering me for about 2 weeks. But stubborn me still worked out. I had a hard time raising my right arm up to do a front delt raise, or even a bench press. For the press I used the Smith Machine to help. I really worked hard on the arms Tuesday morning with still some pain (I'm stubborn), but it seems to be really better today, after I had a heat pad on it last night. I also sort of played with the shoulder joint by manipulating it and it seems to of helped a lot. Hardly any pain today. Maybe I had a pinched nerve and sore tendon. Aside from a also tender toe (I dropped a 25 lb weight on my foot LOL), I'm doing fine, and will work out with lighter weights through the rest of the week.

8. Last Sunday our group met up at the Dim Sum place in Diamond Heights shopping center to celebrate friend Carlos and visiting friend from Hawaii, Dane's birthday. After that, we ended up at Ho's home for drinks and birthday cake. Later we ended up ending the afternoon at the Eagle and 440.

9. So work will be a bit on the stress side for a bit. We have lots of vacancies coming up, our maintenance man is leaving. I think I may have to work on Memorial Day too! :( Boo that!


Celebrating friend Carlos, and Danes birthday last Sunday. Dane made some weave leis (bear colors, which was perfect for the BOSF event at the SF Eagle beer bust.
