Palm Springs or Bust

I'm considering a few days in Palm Springs
1. I just checked the flights from either SFO or OAK. E-Gads! I think I will drive. Renting a car would even be cheaper. What ever happened to the $ 100 special fares? I have made it down there by car in less that 7 hrs (I drive fast)
2. I have several friends I can stay with. That is great. But what if I meet someone and want to play? Should I feel obligated to report in. Will they expect me to spend time with them mostly? Will they be insulted? Maybe I should stay in a gay inn. That way I can still visit, and have my cake and eat it too. Of course it would be cheaper if I stayed with friends.
3. I am also tempted to stay in WEHO at the San Vincente Inn maybe one night I love that place. And so close to everything.
4. Well maybe skip WEHO this time, and just concentrate on the desert.
