back from the gym I saw a van parked. Wonder if a Bear owns this one. Is he a gay bear? Or is totally unrelated.

Apparently unrelated. One of the companies that became BEAR.COM - Bear Communications - started off in California.

And, other than the name, there is no inkling of anything else on the website.
