Updating Explorer Browser/ can it be done??

Anyone know of a quick, free and easy site to update my Explorer? I have a Mac OSX, and my Explorer is 5.2. I need to upgrade/update to Exp 6 or 7 so I can do office work at home. Of course OneSite/RealPage does not have other browser options (Firefox, Safari), Damn!. Apparently IE 5 was the last for Apple. But other say it is possible? Can IE 6 actually run on a Mac OSX? They say through a Linux (IE4Linux)......
