With the merger of Delta/Northwest, I wonder if there will be a lot of layoffs, forced retirements etc? Will perks change for those still employed?

One only has to look at the history of other similar mergers. It's gonna be pretty much "by the book".

Even if management says there will be no changes, they'll only keep their word for a year. Tops.
