dinner with Chis

Well, Chis, my trainer worked me hard. Back, lower back, then lats, and then biceps. Biceps towards the end of all the workout is not my favorite (even though my goal is bigger arms, I hate the pain for the gain). He had me doing supper sets, dumbbell curls, but not allowing the dumbbell to go all the way down, next to my leg. Ouch! After super setting, with increasing the weight per set, my arms became rubber. Work these last two days were exhausting (yes physical labor again, due to a threat of an owner coming by to check out the property (long work days))

So to reward me, Chis treated me to dinner, since the last two workouts were good. We went to a rotisserie chicken place, Chick and Coup, in Daly City. YUM!!! And healthy too! We talked about a lot of stuff. His breaking up with is girlfriend, work, job hunting, etc. He is a nice young man. I forgot what it's like to be 30. So much enthusiasm! It was a nice night. And I am pooped. Off to bed and off to the gym in the morning.
Night

No rest in between work outs (other than one night's sleep)? OK, I'm one to talk what with my not working out at all right now, but . . . I thought muscles needed time to rebuild in order to grow (and hence take raise your metabolic rate)? Break them down, give them time to rebuild, and then repeat.

Your right. But each day/workout is on a separate body part or two. Back one day, legs the next; to give the time for them to grow and repair. Once all parts have been worked on, then change it up. Walking, treadmill, sit ups etc. I did not get up this morning... so gym tonight. :(. I usually take Thursday and Sundays off. If the week has been really strenuous then 3 days or more.
