Looks like my friend will arrive early, so we will be off to Pink Saturday tonight, and Pride tomorrow. Happy Pride!!!! (off to nap). I will really need this fun break :)

last time i went to the parade in s.f. was '93. what an event. after 3.5 hours i just gave up and went to the festival on the embarcadero - and the parade went on for hours after that. i think a little editing would have helped ;-) but it was something to experience!

Today, after 3 hrs of watching the parade (it is more edited now than in '93), I decided to volunteer again, next yr as monitor. That way you get to see all the floats lined up at the starting gate, and your done in 45 minutes :)

that would be cool. in '93 the dykes on bikes alone took 45 minutes. they kept stopping everything to let cross traffic through, if i remember correctly.
