BOLT TO THE "BOLT"

cellboyI have Friday off! Get my "buzz cut" for Dore Alley Fair in the am, lunch with friends, then off to Sacramento/Roseville to visit Mom. Friday night hope to be off to Sacramento eateries and bars. Hopefully meet up with a friend I met on Silverdaddies. Nice guy. Has just recently come out, going through a messy divorce,late in life. It's always hard. Not so fun. So always good to see how he's doing, and adjusting etc.
No offense, but millions of dollars has recently been poured into the new and old bars, eateries in midtown Sac... they offer better space and amenities than the SF bars. And in many ways the people are not a cliquish as we are in SF. Small town, friendly people. Plus warm evening weather,,,,, less to wear....woof! I still love SF, but nice to see something else for a change.
I went to the Bolt 2 weeks ago, the Sac "Bear Bar". Fun! Had a unique "Bear Buns" contest. Put the buns through a hole for people to judge. The louder the clapping the higher the "peter meter rose". Winners won Ipod, bear tags to Lazy Bear........
So possibly off to the downtown bars Faces (feces), Depot, Merc, Badlands, Hunters, then end up at the Bolt...
On Saturday will also get my passport pics, for my Canadian passport, taken while up there. Been long enough procrastinating.
