well, somewhat annoyed
Aug. 23rd, 2008 11:15 pmFor the past two plus weeks, I have been having problems with my server (Earthlink). In the middle of posting, or commenting, or sending emails, I would loose connection to the server. I would have to shut off my modem, reboot, then it would work. All worked fine at least 80% of the time. This morning I was fed up and called (India of course). They said that it may be my modem, but more likely due to repairs going on in CA and it will be like this for awhile. So tonight I had more problems. Had to reboot 3 times. So I called again. India of course (it used to be the Philippines?). He said it was happening a few months ago. So I am getting two stories. Anyway. I have always been happy with Earthlink and their customer service.
1. We checked my IP addresses, all fine. And IP address/setup on the browser address bar and tabbed though with passwords to get back on line (apparently I may have to go through this method if this continues to happen :(
2. What was a bit annoying, was that his phone connection was sounding fuzzy. I could not hear him clearly
3. He had a very heavy accent.
4. He was getting impatient with me for I could not understand him (I told him we had a bad connection)
5. He kept calling me Ma'am. :(
