1. After the Eagle Sunday, it was off to Marlena's Bar for the Hayes Valley Leather Contest
2. Packed Bar. Only one contestant. Congrats to Bryan Duke.
3. Even though it is know as a Drag bar, Marlena (Gary), has done a good job in supporting the leather community.

That makes me so sad.

That said, the night sounds like it was a blast.

It is sad. Fewer and fewer are running for anything these days it seems. Yrs ago, you would see 5,6, or more running for some sort of title. Also, as usual, those that are active with volunteering in the communities, are the mostly the same people. Even some of the Leather fund raising events this yr, are not doing the sit down dinner type of event with entertainment. Just a cocktail get together. Sign of the times and of our economy. Many don't have the funds to fork out :(
