so today

1. I drove down hwy 280 to Palo Alto. I always get a bit choked up on the drive.
a. It is one of the most beautiful freeways in the world (as the sign states), as it meanders down the San Francisco Peninsula, flanked on both sides with Mountains, redwood forests, and green hillsides (winter and spring only).
b. I grew up down here. With my parents now gone, the thoughts of them, my family and me growing up were strong as ever. The wonderful scent the the green mustard covered hills brought on a strong storm of good memories. I really miss living down here. If only there were a vibrant and strong gay community down here. Then I would be back there in an instant. It really is beautiful.
2. So I did my thing at the cemetery for mom (and dad), and Larry too. :)
3. I then was up to SF to the Eagle. It was a good crowd to begin with. But later, of course with the warm weather, it got packed and became too uncomfortable. And to be honest, I really should of stayed home. Or at least not out for long. It was a bit of a melancholy day.
4. There was a Mother's Day "Mommie Dearest" thing benefit thing at Aunt Charlies. Theme was Spanking and Flogging. Was not in mood for that bar, but the flogging? I am dying to have my chest flogged. I like that sort of thing :) It's been awhile.
5. So later friend Mark and I went to the Lone Star, which although packed (on the patio only), did not seem as packed as the Eagle.
6. I find it interesting, the those that grope you on DH, and then are there in person, either don't recognize you, or don't want to acknowledge you after you give a hello smile. oy.
7.There were a few very very sloshed men there, that actually did smile and acknowledge me. Not totally my type, but I could of easily had my way with them. But I kept my distance. Humm. Guess I have grown up on that subject. I know what I want, and no longer settling (well almost) for anything, for just sex. They were not my type anyway. But in the old days that did not matter whats so ever. ;)
8.After a nice time with friends and all, it was time to go home. Yes a work day tomorrow.

Yeah. Even though there has been some building, they have kept it pretty rural, with strict zoning regs.
