What's happend to toothpaste?

I have tried most major commercial brands, some I like, some I don't like. But what's up with the suds? Lately with all the additives, it seems that toothpaste has gotten too soapy or sudzy over the past few years. Yuk! When brushing, it sudzes up so much you want to gag (stay away from Ultra Bright).

When I was very young, I remember my favorite Aunt always used, and traveled with Colgate Tooth Powder. In fact I remember the tin can and using it too. Good flavor, and not too soapy or sudzy. Sorta like baking soda with flavor. I miss that.

Try Tom's of Maine.

Oh, and if I'm not mistaken, the sudsiness is caused by sodium laureth sulfate (SLS). You'll want an SLS-free dentifrice.
