Sometimes I like shopping

1. In a rush in trying to find sandals for my trip (they, and summer clothes are hard to find this time of year), day time and more dressy ones for night, I decided to try Pennys.
2. Hazza! I found exactly what I wanted (the type that strap around your ankle (Velcro buckle), and some really nice dressier ones too. And on sale. They were out of the casual ones but the display ones fit. They gave me an extra discount on those.
2. The place must of just got the summer stuff in. It was full of great T's, and stuff. And great prices! So I purchased just a few printed T's for like 9 buck each :)
I was a die-hard Mervyn's shopper, but after scoping the clothes (I never shop here. I have been doing Macy's), I think I will try more of this (and Kohls).
3. I then went to Costco to check out cameras. I liked the Nikon CoolPix S570. Good for travel.
4. I then went up to Best Buy to see what they had. The same cam, same price ($1 more). But it did not include the memory card or the case (that's extra), as does Costco.
5. So I went back to Costco, filled out the merchandise slip. Stood in line for 35 minutes; paid for the camera. Went to pick up the camera, only to find out they are out of stock (someone took the out of stock sign off the display :(. OY!
6. So tomorrow, after gym, and after helping a friend move a TV in SF, I need to go down to Foster City Costco to get one (they have 10 in stock).
7. As for tomorrow, I may nix the Superbowl stuff. Maybe not. Not sure. I am sorta of thinking of going to the Imax to see Avatar. I have a feeling that it won't be as busy on Superbowl Sunday.

Sounds like you have been having a blast! I want a postcard! LOL!

And you haven't seen Avatar yet? OMG! Go! Go! Go!

And tell me what you think!

Not yet. Getting friends organized to see a movie is a chore. So was considering going on my own. Seeing how today is going, getting stuff ready for next week, I may not make it either! Oh well. It will be out for a long time, so will see it then.

...but how long will it be on 3-D Imax?

Seems like forever. The lines last week were a mile long!

Really?? We haven't had lines, except maybe on a Friday night, in weeks!

After my hubby helped me to get my Nikon D80 DSLR last year for my aspiring pro work, I returned the favor that Christmas (2008) by getting him a Nikon Coolpix S202. He loves it because it will fit in his shirt pocket and he can take it anywhere. He was leery of having a rechargeable battery instead of AAs, but the charged battery lasts a very long time indeed. From the specs I've seen, it looks like the S570 has an even better lens and more features.

Thanks for the input. I was actually toying with getting that one also. It's a bit less, and if I loose it, or get it wet, no worries. I suppose for this purpose the MP (10 vs 12) is not crucial (but the zoom is better). But then again I love taking pictures... maybe too many :). Guess I weight it out when I get there. :)
