No time, no sleep, no one is getting laid! Last Call.
1. Still on the cruise. The library and internet cafe are awesome, so I tore my self away to the computer key pad for a quick update. Internet is slower than dial up. So this is a quick rundown.
2. Being a ship of over 2200 passengers, of course we are running into some familiar faces from home.
3. Except for us not having watches (save an ipod, or camera, and the few clocks on the ship, we have lost the track of time. The weather the first 2 days was cold. Ft Lauderdale was colder than SF. At day 3, the sun finally came out, and weather warmed.
4. Every day is packed with events, shows, some overlapping one with the other. So we end up in one theater catching the last third of a show, but go later in the evening or the next day seeing the first 2/3. The music, shows, and dance clubs are fantastic. So of course with the loss of time, we end up home almost every morning at 5am.
5. The meals including the on going buffets are fantastic. We ate at two very nice restaurants, close to being a 4 or 5 star in service and quality.
6. Today is our last day at sea. To round off the trip we are offshore at the Island of Half Moon Cay (GAY this week!). Launced to shore, the island has beaches, BBQ, bars, and horseback riding(which we had reservations, but missed)). No biggie. The beach and swimming was nice. But the Caribbean water was colder than yesterday's. The Island is owned by the cruise line.
7. The mood is different. Most I find are clicked into their own groups, as we are, so it seemed a bit harder to do the pick up thing. And since maybe the fact that everyone is sharing rooms with friends, it may be a bit harder to drag someone home. The atmosphere is just different.
8. For some reason, I just can't get into the pick up thing (I am disappointed that I did not so far. But still having a fantastic time!).
9. One very well known and hot San Franciscan (who will remain nameless) asked me at the Casino last night, if I had gotten laid. I said no. He said he has not either. Not even propositioned, but by one man who must of been in his 80's (LOL)
10. Tonight is the night of grand finale shows. Kate Clinton, Mia Dore, Danny Williams, other fantastic performers, Campy Bingo, and dancing till dawn.
11. Well off to the pool to get some music, rays, and maybe some......
12. I think many will get lucky being the last night. The last call thing :)
