Post Folsom Fair ramble
Sep. 28th, 2010 08:25 am1. Donna Sachet's annual Leather Title holder bunch was very nice as usual.
2. The only set back was the heat. Her patio was so hot, most of the guests were indoors, eating from the buffet tables, and huddled next windows and large cooling fans.
3. Ken (the past bartender Daddy's Bar) and his husband were in charge of the drinks.
4. Those Bloody Mary's were murder! So most of us, by the end of this event, ended up at the fair very happy! And drinking cold beers by that time.
5. We usually walk at least once though the fair, but didn't. Don't know why, but we just planted ourselves by the Powerhouse Bar, in the shade, visiting those that walked by.
6. Apparently I guess we missed some awesome sights by not walking the fair, but oh well. The abnormally warm day, combined with an almost you can't hardly move through the streets for some reason was not appealing (even though I am usually the one to initiate and enjoy walking through the crowds most of the time :)
7. After going to these events for over 25 yrs, I probably felt no need to walk.
8. I really prefer Up Your Alley Fair over this anyway. But one goes to go. And not miss out! lol
9. This weekend is the "vanilla" Castro Street Fair. The last gay outdoor event of the warm season. The next event is Halloween (which, as the years go by, the thought of not attending this one increases).

My friends (me and Jim in back)
