NYE

I am absolutely not going out to SF for NYE this year.
1. Last year, I went with friends. Same old stuff. 440, Edge Bar, Mix, 440, Edge Bar, Moby's, Edge Bar.
2. As the night moves on, the lines to the venues get longer and longer, and move slowly
3. Once in. It gets so crowded and hot; so crowded that you can hardly raise your arms.
4. Parking? Forget it! I can BART it, then Muni it. Did it before (the joys of living in the suburbs)
5. Cabs are impossible to find after NY's celebrations.
6. I can stay with friends, but I would rather be in my own bed, than camping on the sofa, floor till the next day.
7. CHP's are out in full force this year, so forget about driving (unless someone else does(the joys of living in the suburbs))
8. Actually most of my life, I really never made a big deal about New Years festivities.
9. Going out to dinner, then spending a nice time at home is more appealing.
10. Standing in line, in the cold, in the drizzle (it suppose to rain) is no picnic
11. Friend Ho is having a NY Day Party, where we bring appetizers (I am making stuffed mushrooms). That is more appealing.
12. OK. I could change my mind by the end of the day tomorrow.
13. A few years ago, I stayed in. And the earth, my world did not fall apart. I actually had a nice evening, and was in bed a bit after midnight
14. We shall see.
15. You know me..... I can waffle......

I though I would spend the New Years Eve alone with my cats, but a friend of mine will come... if weather allows and the streets aren´t icey again. First I thought I had been nice to spend the evening alone, but now I´m happy that she will come and visit. Just we both but that can be fun too. I think staying alone the new years eve can be very depressing.

No matter what you will do, if you decide to go out or to stay at home, I wish you a Happy New Year!
Wish you happiness, love, joy, health and good luck for 2011! Wish you only the best!
Have a good New Years Eve and be back next year!
*HUGS*

Thanks! HNY to you too! You'll be approaching the New Year before me! Actually I don't find New Years alone depressing. I am out all the time, with the same people, so tonight is just another night I suppose. Might be a good quiet night to reflect on the past year, and see what changes I need to make :)

Thank you. If I´m not wrong, the west coast of the USA is nine hours behind middle Europe.
Really? I never spent a new years eve alone but with all people celebrating and then being alone at home with all the thoughts and memories of the past year... I´m glad I´m not alone tonight...
Wish you a nice evening/night, have a good one, no matter how you´ll celebrate. :-)

I suspect we are staying in tonight, and definitely no SF. We were in SF the last few years and I'm cool with skipping it this year LOL

If I lived closer, probably go out. Oh! Where are those were the days when I lived walking distance to the 3 Redwood City bars? Of course they are all gone, and so am I.
