Last night, I ended up going to sleep late (don't know why I keep doing this), watching the Style Channel (a makeover show, really important stuff!! lol)), then later the Science Channel (Discovery Channel), The Story of Everything, with host Stephen Hawking. I always somewhat regret not seriously going into Astronomy as a career (my math skills have always been poor, so that it kept me away).
1. Subjects like this intrigue me, and also give me the heebee jeebies. It is all so mind boggling, and wonderful!

2. I then start thinking about, our purpose, if there is one, on this fragile planet. Will our species be able to continue on, here or elsewhere on other planets or other solar systems.

3. Then thinking about death (which sometimes gives me the heebie jeebies); is there life after or not. Do we go into another dimension. Or does nothing happen at all. Is there or is there not a "maker" of this universe. Is there a "plan"?

4. If there is a maker, or a "plan", wouldn't it be wonderful if once we depart this life, we are shown, or finally know the secrets and mysteries of life, and of the whole universe itself. People like Stephen Hawking, Einstein (and us too), would be in true heaven knowing the reasons, and facts about what has unfolded for so many billions of years and years to come.

Glad to read that you are interested in that subject too. I read Stephen Hawkings "A brief History of Time" twice and I read some books about the universe and all that. I feel like you, it´s an interesting subject and I had loved to go into astronomy too but my math skills are more than poor. They don´t exist! LOL

I would love to know all that, too, but I think we never might get the answers to all our questions I´m afraid. I think there is an afterlife but I´m afraid we won´t get the answers we need....
I would love to discuss this with you, unfortunately my English skills are very poor too. :-(
Glad to know I´m not the only one who is interested in such stuff... :-)

I died twice. One was a cold dark lonely place. I was aware of the absolute nothingness. The other I was in a warm white peaceful place and I was so comforted and I was aware of everything. (My favorite child hood toys smell, my mom sleeping in her bed, my car in the parking lot, the way the wind was at my favorite place in the woods) I looked at the first time I passed away and was dead for 3 minutes. I did stupid things to get to the first place. The second one was just an unknown health issue that made me pass away for about 4 minutes. The experiences made me feel like there is something else out there and our course of action can in fact dictate things. I just live my life being a better person and treat everyone with compassion and respect.
