Lights of the past

Last night, as I was looking outside, I was thinking;
I don't know why, but when I was young, and first visited the Stanford Memorial Church, the light fixtures reminded me of the Disney movie, 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, that I first saw in 4th grade. Maybe it was the large, lit glass observation window on the submarine. Who knows.

Across the street from my apt, I can see the interior light fixtures of the South San Francisco public library. Looks more impressive at night. Not as fancy or old as Stanford Church's fixture, but again it reminds me of the church and the movie. The Stanford "Quad", the campus, and it's environs are worth a visit. That place is incredible.

Stanford Memorial Church. This is a spectacular site.
