The weekend and week so far
1. Friday was the usual evening in SF, save going to Mama's Birthday fundraiser at the Edge. Jim and I were in charge of selling the Jello Shots. We did fairly well, about $200 worth!
2. The event was to raise funds for the Leather Contingent, for Pride parade.
3. Mark had made a nice $70 cake. The topping of icing consisted of the leather flag motif on top (in icing), with Happy 69th Birthday Mama.
4. We were a bit busy selling, and didn't see this, but apparently as everyone was singing happy birthday, someone was handing the cake to someone off stage, and the cake fell face down on the floor. Oops! Silence. Poor Mama :(
5. The Edge bar was packed. They are doing a great job with the remodeling too!
6. Saturday was our outing with Carlos,
sfmijo for his 47th birthday dinner. As mentioned before we ate at Hog and Rocks
7. We each chose our own dishes and shared. THE FOOD WAS FANTASTIC! And so well priced!
8. Our server, Maya, was one of the best servers I had had in a very long time. We all had a great time.
9. We ended up at 440 for a bit, then it was off to home. Somewhat early for a change
10. Sunday morning was the gym. Then off to the Lone Star. It was pretty packed. And really windy and cold on the patio. So inside was the best place to be.
11. Today is fairly slow at work. Maintenance called in sick, so it's nice and quiet! :)
12. If anyone is interested in some newer eateries in SF here is a few that you should try. Friend Mark is a wholesale seller to many upscale and good eateries so he is pretty up on where to go. He also is in the know of some more affordable ones too.
