The weekend and week so far
Sep. 26th, 2011 09:53 pm1. It was Saturday night out on the town with visiting friend Tom,
joe6pack3, to the usual spots in the Castro. As the night progressed, the Castro got more crowded.
2. After our wonderful Thai dinner, there was no need to go back to the bars, for now the lines to enter were beginning to get longer at most of the popular bars.
3. So we tried venturing to the Lone Star. Yes. There too, the line stretched almost down to the car wash. Bummer. We wanted to smoke cigars in the back!
4. We ended up at Truck, which was quite pleasant, with quite a bit of eye candy too.
5. Sunday it was a get up early, figure what to wear (my chaps fit! Yay!) and go, to get to Donna Sachet's Leather Brunch (The Leather Title holders party) in time.
6. On the way to SF, it started to rain! What's with that? Needless to say, the weather ended up quite nice. Cloudy for most of the day, but warm and balmy
7. Donna had the usual guests, new title holders, familiar friends and faces, and some good food and drink.
8. Then it was off to Folsom Fair. Friend Robert was with us, and since he works at Bed Bath and Beyond, he was able to get us permit parking in the upper lot. That saved us a lot of time parking wise, but we still missed the 1:45 PM Annual Mama's Family Photo. Oh well. That's the 2nd time I've missed this in ten years. No biggie.
9. It was a late night, and later Jim joined us at the Edge, then later had some burgers at Orphan Andys, then later to my house. Not much sleep (it's not that comfortable sleeping with two others next to you.
10. It was up early Monday for work....and I was dragging. Tom left shortly after 9am, only to find his rear tire had a flat, which I blew up with my handy portable air pump, so he could get to the gas station to have repaired
11. I also had a odd car problem when leaving the Castro Sunday night. After I started my car, the windshield wipers would not start. Then when I put my car in neutral, there was a odd sound like I was trying to start an already started engine. My brake light was on, most of the week last week. So will take it in to the mechanic to see whats up (glad I have a back up car). Hope it is not too major. The car has only 50,000 miles.
12. So Sunday night, the Leather Flag, in Harvey Milk Plaza is taken down, for it is the end of Leather Week, to have the Pride Flag back up on Monday.
13. The next change of flags will be during IBR (International Bear Rendezvous) in February, where the Bear Flag will fly for a week.
Tom and I out on Saturday night.

440 was packed!
