The weekend and week so far
Oct. 18th, 2011 04:38 pm1. Last Friday was a bit different than most Fridays. Most friends could not make it out, or wanted to go out really late. So i decided to go it on my own (I hate going to bars alone). But I did end up meeting up with friend Lee. After a few, and a burrito at the local haunt, I was home an asleep by 11:30 pm
2. Saturday was the usual, gym, food shop. Our resident that we are evicting was suppose to be by to move stuff out. Never did. So by Thursday, if she doesn't shows, we have to dispose of the furniture, and car ourselves. Old Navy had a great sale on shirts, 50%- 60% off. I rushed so quickly in there, I ended up buying 3 with long sleeves, not the short sleeves ( I never unfolded the shirts to check). No biggie. Will return/exchange this week.
3. On Friday our IT dept fixed our Outlook Mail. Basically revamped everything. When they went through the system, some odd characters were in some log on boxes. Looks like a virus hit us. Created a new log in, new page, and carried over all the apps, folders to the new system. IT dept did it off site via Teamview connection with my computer.
4. Saturday I actually stayed in. I got in the Mommy Dearest mood, and ended up cleaning my bathroom and bleaching some of the tile grout! LOL
5. Sunday, was a quite day. Went out later to the Lone Star to meet friends. Jim showed up after his work, and we smoked some pretty good cigars!
6. Monday morning was havoc at work. Our Real Page Rent Roll check scanner was not working. Tenant after tenant was here with odd issues, and our large heavy gate/ fence hiding the garbage bins fell down (we had a bid to replace it, but never got an OK from corporate). Just seemed everything was not going smoothly that day.
7. So IT hooked us up via TeamViewer, and tried to reload the drivers, etc for the check scanner. It did not work. As the day progressed, I continually tried to download the scanner drivers etc... but still did not work. I called RealPage help desk..and they set up a help ticket tor the next day.
8. So then I thought, maybe the settings on Explorer were changed when we transferred everything from the old system. So I got out the copy of my Real Page Explorer check list. Followed the directions. Yes. Some of the settings were disabled. And some enabled when they were not suppose to be. So within 5 minutes, I had everything corrected. Restarted the PC.
9. The check scanner works! YAY!
10 As most know, I know nothing of PC's, but you would thing Real Page, or our IT dept would of suggested I go through the check list first, instead of me wasting all day trying to get the damn thing going.
11. So for now... all seems to be working fine :)
