the weekend and week so far
Apr. 18th, 2012 06:21 am1. I have been lagging on posting lately. Busy! A good busy!
2. Friday Jim and I hit the Castro for Happy Hour. The usual friends out.
3. Saturday, was my gym day, food shop day, and an interesting day, to actually end up being another nice evening in the Castro with friends
4. Since I have company visiting Thursday, I decided to stay in on Sunday and wash my patio windows. They were cleaned 3 months ago, but the damn rain, thunder, lightning, and wind (blowing at my windows this time) we had last Thursday really did a number on them.
5. So while doing windows, I did laundry, and some cleaning and tiding of my place.
6. I was also asleep early, for a busy and interesting week so far
7. We are getting slammed at work. The Biotech industry in town is hiring like crazy. The short sales are putting people into apartments. Hence demand up. Rents going up. We have deposits and applications on units that won't even be vacated until 60 days!
8. One resident, a fellow from Canada emailed me on Monday to say he was in Canada, extending his work visa, for his work extension here in SSF. Apparently the US is denying him re-entry. And it will take months to get the necessary approval to continue work here. So, his lease ends at the end of June. He said he would pay rent. His friend came by, took what he could out of the apt, and gave us the keys. He left only a small IKEA computer desk, and chair (which is now in my bedroom). We will have it ready to show by the weekend, and hopefully rent it fast to help him out
9. Then on Tuesday, 3 students come in the office. One girl was napping in her room. When she woke up, she saw a strange person in her room going through her dresser. She woke up startled, he was startled, and ran out the door and hopped over the fence. Cop came (yes woof!), but never dusted for finger prints. Looks like he broke into the sliding glass door, bending the lock/latch. Today they are calm. I got my maintenance man to extend the fence from 6 ft to 12 ft. Hopefully that will deter who ever was trying to get onto the property. This is a corner part of the property. Hard to see if anyone would be trying to jump the fence.
10. Aside from that, this week, I am trying to go to the gym in the morning, before work. Arg! Getting up at 6:15 am is hard (especially for gym). But the good thing is I get more stuff done at home at night (except live journal). And to bed at a reasonable hour.
11. The big Mr Clean muscle guy is back at the gym, from Austin on business. Nice guy. But wondering if he is being friendly to just be friendly. Or to "be" friendly.
12. Well off to the gym. Will be a few busy days with work, my Dana Point guest. So might not be posting much (as if I do already :(

Date: 2012-04-18 03:55 pm (UTC)Seems like a busy week and yes, standing up that early is hard, when I go the the gym when I work late shift, I stand up a hour later to get to the gym, it´s hard but it´s a good feeling to have done your work at the gym. I think with working out one just feels a lot better.
