The weekend and week so far
Dec. 26th, 2012 01:18 pm1. Saturday I posted about already. Sunday was pretty much a laid back day. I met our gang at the Cove for brunch. After that, Ho, Griff and I, went to the new sports bar, It's Tops, on Market (old Lime). Nice place. They also serve light food which is great when watching a game. The bartenders are pretty nice too. Did not stay too long, for I wanted to go home to complete stuff for Christmas and such. The rest of the gang went later only to report a hot door guy at the door. Huge muscle guy. I will have to go back sometime and check him out! LOL
2. Monday I worked for a couple of hours, to get the reports out to corporate. Then off to Sacramento (Granite Bay) to my sister's for Christmas. My weekend guy covered my rest of the day at work.
3. Traffic was pretty light, except for the back up at the outlets in Vacaville. Davis and the causeway were also pretty busy but really not as bad as in years before.
4. My nephew his wife and the two little boys (age 2 and 4) were already there. And my other Nephew was there also. He and my brother-in -law were in the garage sitting on folding chairs staring and managing the Still temperature, while it continued dripping 90+% proof Vodka. LOL
5. My nephews and their father a few years ago were experimenting in making beer. Now, it's Vodka. Which once filtered, and watered down a bit, was excellent.
6. My nephew is also provided his homemade Mozzarella, for our Martini cocktail hour which also was delicious.
7. After cocktail hour (with the home stilled Vodka) it was dinner, then after, off to the living room to exchange gifts. It's always more fun watching the little kids open theirs. As last year, the adults picked a name out of the hat, and were only to purchase one gift for that name. As for the little kids, anything goes.
8. The next morning, Christmas day, my nephew his wife and the kids were off to her parents in Redwood City. I left shortly after, making it home by 5 pm (a 3.5 hr drive vs a 1.5 hr drive due to heavy traffic and pounding rain)
9. Unpacked the few clothes I took, had dinner and watched TV. I watched Van Helsing, The Green Hornet (awful), The Preachers Wife, and the Vow (Tatum Channing is hot!).
10. Today work is a bit slow of course, being a holiday week. Having some Outlook issues, and waiting for Corporate IT to log onto my screen and fix it.

The "Moonshine" Still

Me at Tops bar. Since this is SF, I'd say that there at mostly bottoms at "Tops"! LOL
