I must confess. I have sinned.
1. I used to recycle often. For years. One bucket for cans, bottles, plastics, etc. Even living in an apartment, I did it for years.
2. But a few years ago I stopped. My bad
3. I figure just me and a bottle or two, etc in the garbage, makes no difference. My Bad
4. I keep my home computer on sleep mode most of the time. I go home for lunch most times, and figure it is not on too long. My Bad.
5. I have been flushing the toilet too much. My bad
6. I have the TV running while not watching. My bad
7. I still have not converted my bulbs to the efficient, squiggly ones. My bad
8. I sometime let the water run while shaving. My bad.
9. I take too many hot baths. My bad (But I stink after the gym)

Conclusion. I have sinned, but for redemption, I will,
1. Begin to separate my recyclable items, and take them to the complex recycling bins
2. An attitude of it is only one bottle or two, it's only me, is wrong. If we all thought that way we would really be in a mess
3. I will turn off radios, TV's, light when not needed
4. The Apple boots up fast, why not turn it on only when needed.
5. I have been flushing less when I pee. But also find that you will flush less if you pee in the shower, while showering (or if you really want to save time and flushing, pee in the sink while you shave? Humm. Maybe I'll try that. So I will flush less (unless it is poop). But will continue testing the efficiency of peeing in the shower when appropriate.
6. I will go to Home Despo, and purchase energy saving bulbs (and new plants for my patio too!)
7. Cut down on baths. And use less water when shaving.
8. I have, however put my patio waterfall on a timer, and Turtle's sunlamp on a timer, to only come on for short periods of the day. My good!
9. Well, although I did not watch anything about Earth Day, it still got me thinking of what I can do to improve my household, and in turn help our environment.
