My die hard Blue Cross ins(PPO), was canned, when I joined a new Mgt Co. So with no choice, I became a member of the 'Kaiser Permamente Plan'. Have heard horror stories of the imcompetency.... much like the British Med system but so far, to my happy surprise, my visit to my first Doctor was impressive. "My! How people come and go so quickly here". The new revamped system is totally computerized, orgainzed, almost "space age" like. Very little wait time. And so clean! My physical, was fast, my blood work was fast (no driving 4 miles to Quest); and the results are produced in 1 day! And my doctor (who I like very much) and facilities are just down the street (see the building from my balcony).
Results: My cholesterol level is perfect. In 2001 my Tri = 519; and total chol= 519 . I should of been dead! 9 mo later I brought all down to 100-159 by just walking everyday and diet change. And of course Lipitor.
STD's came out neg (knew they would)
But liver was up a schose. Due maybe to the Lipitor.
So had a Hep shot, (which I had before but may of not taken). And will test Liver in a few months.
So happy with my new Doctor, and my results..... :o)
